Eligibility Criteria for the Winter Fuel Payment
To receive this payment, one needs to be at least 66 years old during the week of observation, which is the 15th-21st of September 2025. Those whose birthdates are on, or before the 21st of September 1959 meet the eligibility criteria. Also, you have to be physically be located at England, Wales, or Northern Ireland during this week. Depending on age and other factors, the payment for household expenses ranges from £100 to £300 for the eligible. Those above the age of 80 are given much higher payments.
