My business is called Editio to reflect my Classics and History background. The name derives from the Latin editio meaning publication. You will see from the subjects studied that I love History, Classics and Literature. Editio is a registered Australian business where the owner lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. Editio is a professional proofreading and editing services company owned and managed by Claudia Butera.
Claudia Butera established Editio to offer clients direct access to their proofreader and editor to discuss their project. Editio specialises in Proofreading, Copy Editing, Substantive Editing, Book Editing, Book Proofreading and PhD and Master's Thesis Editing. Claudia can read, edit and proofread in English, Italian, Latin and Middle English (Chaucer). Claudia has recently added more specialised services. The first is Historical Research that draws on Claudia’s expertise in research and writing. The second is Transcription of Old Handwriting and Documents where hard to read documents, written anywhere from the 13th to 21st centuries in English, Latin and Italian, are deciphered and transcribed. The third service is Manuscript Critique, for authors who want an opinion of their work.
In 2014 Claudia decided to establish her own company, after a number of years pursuing other interests. Editio was established to utilise her considerable skills in both the tertiary and business sectors. Since setting up her company, Claudia has become knowledgeable in Google Adwords, SEO, website design and html coding.
